Here, you can appreciate the beauty of Macao,
my home town.
Before looking down for the pictures, let me inform you the background of Macao. Macao is located on the southern coast of China, and is near Hong Kong. Its size is only about 6.5 square miles. Macau is a old city; it was established as a colony of Portugal in the East about 450 years ago. Portuguess used it as a trading post for in China. Many westerner came to China will stay in Macao first. Thus, there are some historical site to visit. In Macau, most people are Chinese. Many of them speak Cantonese while the official languages is Portuguese.
Furthermore, Most Chinese practise Buddhism while Roman Catholicism is the official religion. Now, Macao has become a modern city. America, Canada and Japan are its active trading parters. Macao's economy is based on tourism, international financial operations, and light industry. In fact, while many people in Macao work in manufacturing sector as Macao exports many goods such as apparel, textiles, paper products, and leather products, most people work for casinos and hotels.
